🔮 Core Types
There are 37 known core types across six families. Not every core type appears on every world, and not every core type surfaces at lower world grades. This is the full catalog as the System defines it.
Each core develops two attributes that shape how its power manifests. These attributes are not chosen. They emerge from how you fight, how you train, and what you understand.
Elemental Cores (Classical)
The building blocks. Most common core family across all worlds and grades. Typically the first to emerge in newly inducted populations.
🔥 Fire
- Combustion - Burst damage, explosive impact, detonation
- Intensity - Sustained heat, depth of burn, melting power
❄️ Ice
- Shatter - Embrittlement, fracture, structural destruction
- Stasis - Slowing, freezing, lockdown, battlefield control
⚡ Lightning
- Voltage - Raw damage, penetration, single-target devastation
- Arc - Chain targets, jump distance, storm networks
🪨 Earth
- Density - Hardness, weight, armor, fortification
- Tremor - Range, seismic force, shockwaves, terrain control
🌊 Water
- Pressure - Crushing force, depth, hydraulic power
- Current - Flow control, redirection, pull, erosion
🌀 Wind
- Gust - Raw force, knockback, area displacement
- Edge - Cutting precision, blade winds, invisible razors
A Fire mage who leans Combustion is all about devastating bursts: explosions, detonations, flash-points. One who leans Intensity is a slow furnace that melts through defenses over time. Same element. Completely different threat profiles. A cultivator who nourishes both attributes of their core is truly the force to be reckoned with.
Metaphysical Cores (Abstract)
Rarer than Elemental. This core family manipulates fundamental forces and concepts rather than physical matter. Tend to require higher INT or WIS to develop naturally.
🌑 Gravity
- Density - Weight, crushing force, pressure, immovability
- Warp - Field range, spatial distortion, trajectory bending
☀️ Light
- Luminosity - Brightness, raw output, blinding force
- Clarity - Precision, true sight, illusion piercing, surgical focus
♻️ Entropy
- Decay - Degradation, corrosion, aging, wound persistence
- Flux - Rate of change, acceleration, deceleration, momentum
🌑 Shadow
- Veil - Concealment, stealth depth, light absorption
- Dread - Fear projection, psychic weight, existential terror
🔔 Sound
- Resonance - Harmonics, buffs/debuffs, frequency tuning
- Amplitude - Raw volume, concussive force, structural shattering
🌀 Space
- Fold - Teleportation, spatial shortcuts, blink-steps
- Expanse - Spatial expansion/compression, pocket dimensions
Space vs. Void: Space is constructive spatial manipulation. Folding distance, creating doors. Void is destructive reality-breaking. Tearing holes, negating what exists. A Space mage builds a doorway. A Void mage tears one.
Gravity vs. Kinetic: Gravity is mass and spatial distortion. Kinetic is force and movement. A Gravity user is a black hole. A Kinetic fighter is a battering ram.
Entropy vs. Time: Entropy is what Time leaves behind. Entropy manipulators age what they touch. Time manipulators rewind what happened to it.
Life/Death Cores (Soul-Adjacent)
Cores that touch the boundary between living and dead. Rarer, often unsettling to observers. Strongly tied to Egyptian, Pagan, and Old Gods resonance.
🌿 Nature
- Bloom - Growth, regeneration, vitality, healing flora
- Thorn - Poison, entanglement, offensive flora, parasitic growth
💀 Necromancy
- Bind - Control of undead, soul tethering, raising dead
- Wither - Life drain, necrotic damage, soul consumption
🩸 Blood
- Pulse - Self-healing, body enhancement, vitality surge
- Siphon - Draining others, transferring vitality, vampiric power
👻 Spirit
- Anchor - Warding, banishment, soul defense, exorcism
- Communion - Communication with dead, summoning, soul sight
📜 Pact
- Oath - Enforced agreements, truth compulsion, binding contracts
- Price - Sacrificial scaling, borrowed power at a cost, debt magic
Nature isn't just "the druid tree." A Nature cultivator who leans Thorn is a walking biohazard of parasitic vines and toxic spores. One who leans Bloom is the most potent healer you'll ever meet. The duality matters.
Force/Martial Cores (Physical Enhancement)
Cores for fighters who channel mana through their bodies and weapons rather than projecting it externally. Common across all resonance types. The bread and butter of melee combat.

- Temper - Durability, damage reduction, unbreakable defense
- Impact - Strike force, weapon enhancement, transmitted shock
🐺 Beast
- Instinct - Reflexes, tracking, danger sense, predator awareness
- Adaptation - Environmental resistance, partial shifting, sensory enhancement
💨 Kinetic
- Force - Force amplification, kinetic transfer, redirection
- Momentum - Speed, inertia manipulation, unstoppable charges
🔴 Rage
- Fury - Damage scaling, pain-to-power conversion, wrath
- Endure - Injury suppression, death defiance, fighting past limits
⚔️ Blade
- Hone - Cutting power, sharpness, penetration, edge perfection
- Bond - Weapon summoning, extension, fighting as one entity
🏴 War
- Command - Ally buffs, coordination, shared battlefield awareness
- Conquest - Enemy debuffs, territorial suppression, aura of dominance
A Rage cultivator who leans Fury is terrifying when they're losing. One who leans Endure simply will not die when they should. Either way, you don't want to be in the same room.
Forbidden/Rare Cores
Cores that most civilizations restrict, fear, or outlaw. Not inherently evil, but inherently dangerous. These require specific resonance, extreme circumstances, or contact with forces most people never encounter. The System tracks them closely.
🕳 Void
- Null - Mana negation, anti-magic, silence fields
- Rift - Dimensional tears, spatial displacement, portal cuts
🧠 Mind
- Imprint - Memory reading, psychic projection, thought planting
- Will - Mental fortress, domination resistance/offense, psychic warfare
⏳ Time
- Haste - Acceleration, deceleration, temporal speed manipulation
- Rewind - Reversal, undoing, short temporal loops, rewinding wounds
🎲 Chaos
- Surge - Wild amplification, random devastating effects, power spikes
- Twist - Probability bending, outcome manipulation, luck forcing
🔮 Fate
- Oracle - Foresight, probability reading, danger thread perception
- Decree - Forcing outcomes, binding destinies, spoken curses
💭 Dream
- Phantasm - Illusion construction, nightmare projection, terror manifest
- Lucidity - Dream-walking, sleep manipulation, subconscious extraction
Time cores are considered the single most dangerous discipline in the System. Anyone who develops one attracts immediate attention from powers that most people never want to meet.
Artisan Cores (Crafting/Gathering/Trade)
Cores for those who build, brew, gather, and trade. This is not a consolation prize. It's a legitimate cultivation path with its own mastery progression. The best gear, potions, enchantments, and trade networks in the multiverse come from high-tier Artisan cultivators. A Prismatic-tier Forge core smith is as valuable to a faction as a Prismatic-tier combat cultivator.

- Heat - Melting, shaping, tempering, thermal manipulation of materials
- Form - Structural integrity, design complexity, blueprint intuition
⚗️ Alchemy
- Potency - Effect strength, duration, concentration of brews
- Synthesis - Ingredient combination, recipe discovery, substitution intuition
✨ Enchant
- Inscription - Rune complexity, enchantment slots, pattern stability
- Infusion - Mana capacity of items, effect scaling, permanence
💎 Jewel
- Setting - Gem cutting, socket creation, resonance alignment
- Attune - Linking gems to mana flows, amplifying properties, accessory power
🧵 Weave
- Thread - Material manipulation, fiber bonding, cloth/leather crafting
- Pattern - Design complexity, magical property integration, wearable enchantment
🌾 Harvest
- Yield - Quantity, extraction efficiency, gathering speed
- Purity - Material quality detection, rare node sensing, grade enhancement
🪙 Merchant
- Leverage - Negotiation power, value sensing, deal optimization, fraud detection
- Provision - Supply chain efficiency, logistics optimization, production scaling
Artisan Multi-Core Synergies
The real power in Artisan cores lives in the combinations:
- Forge + Enchant = Masterwork enchanted weapons forged with permanent magical properties.
- Alchemy + Harvest = A self-sufficient potion empire. Grow it, brew it, sell it.
- Jewel + Weave = Integrated accessory-and-garment sets where every thread and gem reinforces the whole.
- Merchant + Pact = Magically binding trade contracts. A handshake that literally cannot be broken.
- Forge + Fire = Weapons that burn permanently. The crafter's domain and the element's nature fused into one.
- Space + Jewel = Spatial storage rings. Entire warehouses in a band of silver on your finger.
Pure Artisan multi-cores are viable, powerful, and economically dominant. These crafters are factions in their own right.
Clarification on Crafting
Anyone can learn a crafting profession. Learning basic alchemy to produce potions for yourself while solo leveling is an absolute possibility if it is something you wish to do and have the minimum required stats to learn.
That being said, the difference between a Mana potion crafted by an individual who does not have an Artisan-core vs. someone who does is staggering. A low level HP or Mana potion concocted by even a crude core Artisan is the difference between cardiac surgery and putting a bandage on a missing arm. There is truly no comparison.
Weapons crafting is another good example. Anyone can sharpen the end of a stick to use it as a spear, but a Forge-core weapons crafter can craft a spear that will shatter mountains at the peak of their cultivation.
